My name is Guadalupe “Lupe” Mercado and I am a NJ Licensed Cosmetologist specializing in Luxury Bridal, Special Events, as well as editorial hair & makeup out of the NJ Tri-State Area. I also offer lessons, consultations, makeovers and on-location services. With 15+ years of experience in not just hair and makeup but also in photography and modeling, what sets me apart from my counterparts is my ability to combine clients’ Ideas with my own expertise to design a timeless Custom Look(s) for all occasions.

From the moment we decide to move forward throughout our adventure together, I will work alongside you to ensure your wedding beauty needs are met and your expectations are exceeded. It’s just as important for me that you have a luxury stress-free experience so we can both feel accomplished and at ease throughout our time together.

THE ULTIMATE EXPERIENCE

We aren’t your “cookie-cutter” artists where everyone looks the same. We make sure you get the full red carpet treatment by collaborating with you to design a look you love, completely customized to YOUR taste. I also send you a questionnaire to dig deeper into your wedding goals and what you want to achieve while working together. This lets me get to know your personality, big vision, and values even better.

ON LOCATION SERVICES
We are all about providing our clients with a luxury experience; so all of our services (including trials) are on-location and we travel to whereever the bride is getting ready. Each of our stylists travel with a fully equipped hair and/or makeup kit with lighting, making the styling process relaxing, stress free and of course fun!

Inquiry Form

Once you’ve read through this pricing guide and are like “I want you!”, fill out my inquiry form to let me know all your wedding details & to check availability! Once your inquiry form is in, I’ll be able to review and make sure I have what I need to get you a proper quote or custom packages.

Virtual Meeting

Want to connect further? At this time I’d love to set up a call with you! Meet your wedding day BFF! This introductory call will be via phone call, Zoom, or Google meets. In Person meeting is available at our local Starbucks in Columbia, NJ upon request. This meeting is highly recommended to schedule to give you the opportunity to tell us what your dream wedding morning looks like and to allow us to explain how we can make that dream a reality for you.

Proposal

Receive a customized quote for your wedding hair & makeup needs! If after our call we both feel this is a great fit, I will review your budget, goals, and big vision we discussed and I will curate a customized proposal for your wedding.

Retainer and Contract

Make your reservation official! All bookings will be secured with a signed contract & initial retainer fee (deposit.).  I’ll send you a contract right here in your client portal, so you can see all of the terms clearly outlined, pay your deposit, and sign the contract to make it official.

Trial & Preview

(Optional) 2-4 Months before your date I’ll reach out to you to schedule your Bridal Trial preview appt to see your bridal hair and makeup vision come to life! I would highly suggest booking your trial for your bridal shower, engagement photos or other bridal event so you can wear your look out and get a feel for what you liked and what you’d like to change. Sometimes the things that you picture in your head might not make you feel your best in real life. To make sure you are in love and confident with your look, a trial guarantees a smooth and stress free experience. You may schedule as many pre-wedding events as you’d like. Average Trial/Preview time is 2-4 hours dependent on clients needs. Please note that trials are usually scheduled Tuesday-Thursday especially during wedding season as weekends are reserved for booked weddings.

Service

3-4 weeks before I’ll be in touch with you to confirm final details! You’ll receive a complimentary done for you day of schedule (Wedding Itinerary Timeline)  to keep us all on time! I’ll arrive (early) to pamper you & your bridal party for your big day, all you have to do is show up ready to.

How We Stay Organized and Communicate:

Once you’ve booked and are an official client – I’ll send you a link for your very own client portal right here in HoneyBook. This is where we will keep your entire wedding organized and communicate. It’s much easier for us both to refer back to one space to find what we need than having to search through 100s of email threads, wouldn’t you agree?

OFFICE HOURS AND COMMUNICATION TURN-AROUND

I value transparency with my clients so I want to provide you just that. Below you will find my communication policies and a general guide of my office hours. If you send me an email, you can expect to hear back from me within 24-72 office business hours, which means if you email me on a Thursday you can expect to hear from me by close of business on Tuesday. I often reply much faster than that, but please keep that in mind if you don’t hear from me right away I might just be staying true to my word and enjoying the life that I have worked hard to build (or I’ve been busy with weekend weddings and an influx of inquiries).

My Work Hours: 7 DAYS A WEEK, 9am – 5pm
Office Hours: MONDAY- THURSDAY, 7am – 9am and 3pm-5pm
Meeting Days: MONDAYS & THURSDAYS, 6pm-9pm
